TOURISM IRELAND PRESENTS VIRTUAL OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WORKSHOP FOR EUROPEAN TRAVEL TRADE

Tourism Ireland is set to hold a its first virtual Outdoor Activities Workshop for GB and European based travel trade on Tuesday 1st June 10.00 – 17.30. This will offer an opportunity for trade to meet 25 local outdoor activity providers and regional tourism representatives at home to learn more about what the beautiful Island of Ireland has to offer for a fantastic activity break.

Ireland’s outdoor activity offering

Research shows there is a growing demand for outdoor adventure and experiential driven tourism into the island of Ireland. With an abundance of outdoor adventures and beautiful scenery, Ireland offers the ideal escapism. One day you could be surfing on the Atlantic coast, the next ziplining through a forest or hiking through the hills.

There are over 179 different walking routes along the beautifully rugged Wild Atlantic Way and in Northern Ireland, the Causeway Coast Walking Route will take you past secluded beaches and numerous historic and natural landmarks, including the world famous Giant’s Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge.  Extensive cycling Greenways across the island allows for spectacular routes to suit any level. From coastal trails and beach strolls to mountain walks and tranquil forest paths the island of Ireland offers outdoor experiences to cater for all abilities and lengths of stay.
